Peninsula Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log

San Mateo County (Map, News) - These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.

Burlingame

Crash: A car crashed into a tree near the handicapped parking area of Peninsula Hospital on the 1800 block of Trousdale Drive before 9:01 a.m. April 19.

San Bruno

Brawl: A fight broke out in the street among 20 men and women on the 600 block of San Mateo Avenue before 11:59 p.m. April 19.

Belmont

Steamed: Someone reported that two men took a teapot worth approximately $600 at 1:31 p.m. April 18 on Sixth Avenue.

Foster City

Dance party: A male subject with blond spiked hair and wearing a blue shirt was reported to be “dancing” in the street with a vehicle that had its hazards on at 5:10 p.m. April 18 at Altair Avenue and Edgewater Boulevard. The vehicle was moved out of the roadway.

Rowdy game: A noise complaint was called at 4:11 a.m. April 18 on Foster City Boulevard for several loud people playing Mah-Jongg; a continuous problem.

San Mateo

Powerless: A person reported that someone had cut the power and had possible suspect information at 10:21 a.m. April 17 on the unit block of 43rd Avenue.

Rubbernecking: A bike stop at 9:02 p.m. April 17 on Tilton Avenue and N. Claremont Street drew a large crowd.

You’re it: A student was caught tagging at 9:37 a.m. April 18 at 400 Barneson Avenue by San Mateo police.

Daly City

Drowsiness alert: The Target store at Serramonte Center reported at 12:45 p.m. April 18 that several customers have been purchasing large quantities of Sudafed. The store has surveillance video and information was routed to the Narcotics Task Force.

Sunday July 06, 2008 at 1530 on Hudson St. Redwood City: An Asian man possibly Chinese in his 50's, wearing slippers with white socks and shorts, driving a larger black Mercedes Benz pulled out of 279 Hudson St driveway after viewing an open house and hit a Silver Gray BMW 330ci 2004 without stopping for exchange of identification. Damage to his car would be on his right side of his rear bumper if you are facing his bumper. If you can identify this car or man with this information please email me at tuscany0806@yahoo.com

That is right. Turn those gang leaders in. They force people to be in their gang and they tell them to go do various crimes. Make them scared of you - not you of them. Turn them in to your local police stations. Sick of those old guys going into the neighborhood and getting those young guys to do their crimes. Report the gang leaders. Get a clue.
