Article History ALAMEDA, Calif. (Map, News) - The Oakland Raiders have signed former Washington running back Louis Rankin and five other undrafted free agents.
Rankin, a native of Stockton, ran for 1,294 yards last season for the Huskies. He joins a crowded backfield in Oakland that features No. 4 overall pick Darren McFadden, Justin Fargas, Dominic Rhodes, LaMont Jordan and Michael Bush.
The other players signed Monday by the Raiders were linebackers Malik Jackson of Louisville and Shane Simmons of Western Washington, center Adam Spieker of Missouri, cornerback Derrick Brown of Southern Utah, and tight end Chris Wagner of South Dakota State.
Those players will report to the team's rookie minicamp beginning May 9.
