San Mateo County (Map, News) - These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.
Register raided: About $175 was stolen from a cash register in a store with an unlocked front door on the 1200 block of El Camino Real before 12:21 p.m. on April 8.
Car chase: A man followed a white Toyota after he said it almost ran over him on the 1500 block of Hoover Avenue before 11:21 a.m. on April 8.
Dramatic drop-off: A caller reported at 6:58 p.m. April 8 from Apollo Lane that when her roommate’s husband dropped off their children, he pushed the door into her and caused a scene. The caller wanted him to leave. The man came to the police station several minutes later to report that he was scratched by the caller at the residence.
Shoplifting: A theft was reported at 4:05 p.m. April 8 from a store inside the Hillsdale Mall. A male in his 20s had taken something and had a box cutter on him. He later was seen in the shoe department.
Domestic dispute: A heated domestic disturbance was reported at 3:31 p.m. April 8 by a man who locked himself in a bedroom when threatened by a woman with a knife.
IHOP-ing mad: At 9:28 a.m. April 15, a person reported that a man got out of his truck and started hitting another truck with a metal rod at IHOP before the northbound onramp on S. Airport Boulevard.
Identity crisis: Identity theft was reported at 1:01 p.m. April 8 from unit block of St. Francis Square by a caller reporting ID theft, forgery and theft by access card resulting in a loss of $91,488.50. The suspect was a friend and employee of the caller and last seen March 1, 2008.

Sunday July 06, 2008 at 1530 on Hudson St. Redwood City: An Asian man possibly Chinese in his 50's, wearing slippers with white socks and shorts, driving a larger black Mercedes Benz pulled out of 279 Hudson St driveway after viewing an open house and hit a Silver Gray BMW 330ci 2004 without stopping for exchange of identification. Damage to his car would be on his right side of his rear bumper if you are facing his bumper. If you can identify this car or man with this information please email me at tuscany0806@yahoo.com

That is right. Turn those gang leaders in. They force people to be in their gang and they tell them to go do various crimes. Make them scared of you - not you of them. Turn them in to your local police stations. Sick of those old guys going into the neighborhood and getting those young guys to do their crimes. Report the gang leaders. Get a clue.
