Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

Prostitution: Plainclothes officers worked the prostitution operation at Post and Larkin streets at 12:35 a.m. April 8. The officers spotted a woman, provocatively dressed, flagging down vehicles. One motorist pulled over and seemed to strike a deal. The officers moved in and arrested both suspects and recovered suspected crack-cocaine from the driver.

Taraval

Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park

Loud fight: Officers responded to a call of a loud argument on the 2600 block of San Jose Avenue at 12:05 a.m. April 6. When they arrived, they found that one of the people who lives in the area was wanted on a no-bail sex-registration warrant.

Burglary: An elderly couple on the 100 block of Font Boulevard heard scratching noises and the sounds of someone attempting to open their front door at 2:20 a.m. April 6. They then heard a crashing sound in the kitchen and found a person standing in their living room. They called 911, and a San Francisco State University officer arrived first, taking the suspect into custody just outside an exit door. Other officers arrived to assist. The suspect, who lives in Mission Viejo, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Shooting: Officers were assisting on a traffic stop at Keith Street and Underwood Avenue at 8:08 p.m. April 3 when they heard five or six gun shots nearby. As they responded to the area, they saw a red Camaro speeding up the street. Officers spoke with a witness who said that the Camaro was speeding from the area after the gunfire. Officers then spoke with a victim who said he got into his car and started the ignition when he heard eight to 10 gun shots directly next to him. He told officers he did not see anyone because he ducked under the dash. The victim sustained a cut above his eye. No suspects were arrested.
