‘Party on!’ when safety is the prom-night goal
There is no price tag that can compare to a young life saved from a reckless accident that could happen coming or going from a party. As Gunning stated, these parties are put together by “wish lists” and donations. I applaud the parents at every school who volunteer to help with this huge undertaking each year.
Police only doing their job by stopping Rev. Neal
Some people are calling the Police Department “out of control” and say the police “lack respect for people.” I don’t understand how the police, performing their job and stopping a driver who is breaking the law, are out of control. Neal was in the wrong. If it is true that his wife was left helpless standing on a city street, that was wrong.
I think it’s wonderful that Neal has helped Baltimore’s young people, but he broke the law and as such should have been at least stopped and ticketed. It seems to me that it doesn’t matter where you are headed, whether to church or to the mall, driving without a front license plate is illegal, and, if caught, you need to face the consequences. Perhaps that’s the best lesson he can teach the youths he counsels.
By the way, Stephen Janis (who reported the story) fails to tell readers one important piece of information — how did Rev. Neal come to have only one license plate?
Looks like a rate-hike rip-off to me
What’s going on? Are others experiencing the same kind of increase? If so, I think it is unconscionable that BGE, Constellation Energy and the PSC are trying to dupe us into thinking that the increase is 72 percent.
I certainly hope the General Assembly is aware of this situation and will address it in the proposed Special Session.
Wrecking ball did not rock original Hammerjacks
The original location was on South Charles Street. Hammerjacks outgrew the old row house and moved to a warehouse on Howard Street.
Apparently, rock ’n’ roll can forget.
