At the beginning of all yoga classes, I encourage students to set an intention for their practice by suggesting questions such as, Why am I on the yoga mat? What am I hoping to gain or shed through my practice today? What is going on mentally, physically and emotionally for me at this time? How can I capture this with a clear intention?
You, too, can explore these questions as you begin to bloom alongside the natural world during this special time of the year.
By setting mindful intentions, we are able to get clear on why we’re doing what we do. Explore how getting clear on intentions can help you determine your vision. For example, maybe you’re holding out on happiness until you find the perfect partner. But on further reflection, you realize that what you’re really wanting is a more active social life that includes connecting to a like-minded community, not one person in particular.
