Anne Arundel police identify homicide victim

Anne Arundel police identified the body found in Davidsonville as Frank Rodney Jones Jr., of Annapolis, whose death is being investigated as a homicide.

Jones, 38, was found by a person driving on Brick Church Road after 8 a.m. Wednesday. The driver saw Jones’ body in a wooded area along the road.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene because the body suffered “noticeable trauma.”

Burglar steals gun from home, threatens owner

An Eldersburg resident found the front door and a sliding glass door open to his house Wednesday afternoon, state police said.

When he drove to a man standing in McDuff Court, the man pointed two handguns at the resident and threatened to kill him.

The resident told state police one of the guns belonged to him.

Police arrest woman smoking crack after chase

A Hampstead woman whose car weaved along the road and crashed through a resident’s fence was chased by police from four agencies Thursday until her car stopped against a tree in Manchester, police said.

“The operator ... sat smoking a pipe as police worked to free her from the entangled vehicle,” according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

Suzanne Gore Sajjad, 33, passed out and was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The pipe was filled with crack cocaine, police said.

She was charged with 10 offenses, including assault and reckless endangerment. – Mike Silvestri
