REDWOOD CITY (Map, News) - Commute traffic moved smoothly, if slowly, on U.S. Highway 101 in Redwood City this morning after the six lanes that closed for repaving Wednesday night were reopened at about 5:20 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Kroncke said.
All five northbound lanes and the southbound fast lane near Woodside Road were closed at 9 p.m. Wednesday so California Department of Transportation crews could repave about 200 feet of Highway 101 after 2,400 gallons of gasoline spilled onto the roadway from a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, according to the CHP.
