Developer partners with City CarShare

SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - The developers of the Soma Grand project, AGI Capital and TMG Partners, are partnering with the nonprofit City CarShare to provide residents access to the new smart car fortwo.

Two of the ultra-compact cars, which are being released for the first time in the United States this month, will be available through City CarShare at the condominiums at 7th and Mission streets. The project developers have purchased one while the other will be purchased by the nonprofit, marking the first time a developer has donated a vehicle to the City CarShare fleet.

The two cars, at 8 feet 8 inches each, will take up only one of the two spaces dedicated to the carsharing program in the Soma Grand project.
