Two armed men, one with a gun and the other with a knife, killed the 23-year-old manager of a Woodbridge Popeye's restaurant late Tuesday night when he couldn't open the safe, Prince William County Police reported Wednesday.

Police said two men entered an unsecured rear door of the restaurant at Smoketown Plaza at 13860 Smoketown Road about 11:05 p.m. and demanded money.

When the manager, Keith Jamar Truesdale of Woodbridge, was unable to provide the cash, a shot from a silver pistol was fired, striking Truesdale, according to the police report. He later died at Potomac Hospital.

Police are looking for two light-skinned black men ages 18-22, believed to be 5-foot-7, 135 pounds and 5-foot-9, 140 pounds, who fled out the restaurant's rear door and ran to a parked vehicle in an office complex on Golanski Boulevard.
