Carroll County government, schools and library Web sites have lost power in today's snowstorm. Some employees’ e-mail services are down, and phones at Taneytown, Mount Airy and North Carroll libraries are also out.
Officials do not know when services will be restored.

I just left Orting and its pretty bad. The river is so close to the bottom of the bridge that leads into Orting. My mother lives right on the other side of the levi in orting and was told to evacuate just about 4:30pm. Helicopters were busy going up and down thru out orting rescuing people. Its crazy. I have never seen anything like this here....You only here of this kinda stuff happening on the news in some other state. Ya know...? Its crazy.
please correct this article. Robin Nunley was not a man. She was an amazing woman. Please out of respect for friends and family fix this and take more care next time. Thanks
Where is all the bad weather that whipped everyone into a frenzy. Another Portland weather man fiasco. Wish I could be that wrong and still keep my job.
Umm, I went to City Schools and we NEVER EVER got out for snow...EVER...(we'll VERY rarely)
I used to always wonder if the Hereford Zone ever went TOO school in the winter.
