“These funds are critical to keeping the SFMTA’s priority projects, such as the Central Subway, on track,” said SFMTA Executive Director and CEO Nathaniel Ford.
According to the SFMTA, the bill will provide $12 million for the Central Subway project, the second phase of the agency’s Third Street light rail project.
The bill also includes $1 million for Muni bus improvements and $500,000 toward the implementation on Market Street of SFgo, a program designed to improve traffic flow and accident response.
