Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) dropped more than 2.5 percent Friday by the close of the markets, the biggest drop seen among local stocks tracked by the Examiner.

National Semiconductor Corp. (NSM) also dropped, by more than 1.9 percent, while Adobe Systems Inc. (ADBE) rose more than 1.3 percent and Juniper Networks Inc. (JNPR) rose more than 1 percent.

The markets closed down overall Friday, with the Dow Jones down 0.02 percent, the Nasdaq down 0.09 percent and the S&P 500 down 0.10 percent.
