BALTIMORE (Map, News) - The Ellicott City resident scored 54 goals with 17 assists this season for GW, and was named first-team in the Atlantic 10. She was also an academic standout on the conference post-season honor roll.

Hostetler’s uncle is Jeff Hostetler, who played quarterback in the National Football League for several years, including a stint with the Washington Redskins.

Laura Hostetler scored 165 goals with 103 assists during her career at River Hill, according to the GWU athletic website. She was a third-team All-American via Inside Lacrosse in 2005, when she had 54 goals and 25 assists for the Colonials.

Hostetler, 21, has three brothers: Matt, Ben and Daniel. She was all-conference in the Atlantic 10 as a sophomore in 2005. Other local GW players honored by the Atlantic 10 this season were Caitlin Garman (Friends) of Baltimore and Catherine Lilly (South River) of Riva.
