Man who tried to lure girl sought

SAN MATEO, Calif. (Map, News) - San Mateo police released a sketch of the man they believe asked a 14-year-old girl to get in his car on Nov. 28.
As the girl passed the man in his older black four-door BMW on the 500 block of North Humboldt Street at 8 a.m., he called for her to get inside, police said. The girl said, “no,” and the man drove off.
The incident was the second reported in November involving a black man in his 30s trying to tempt a young girl into his vehicle along Humboldt Street. San Mateo police said they do not believe the incidents are the work of the same suspect.
The man is described as a clean-shaved, black man in his 30s with a plump face. Anyone with information should call San Mateo police at (650) 522-7650.
