Body found in rubble of San Jose boarding-house fire

Sandy Payne was really close to me. She used to tell me that Bob, wanted to kill her. and he would say he is going to do it. you wont know how and you wont know when.. I think this fire has more to it, then people are thinking. Bob has told me to my face that he wanted to kill sandy, and he said if he did it he would then kill himself!

Emmett(Bob)and Sandy were well known in Hampstead. Bob was a master carpenter but when Sandy became ill Bob had to work at what he could close to home in case Sandy needed him. They were both good people. Sandy had a mental illness and several other problems with her health. Bob was a good husband. Bob helped people he didn't know and his friends loved him and admired him. He had many friends. He never made much money but somehow stretched what he made to pay for Sandy's medical care. He lived to help other people. Life was hard for both Sandy and Bob but they did the best they could. I pray they are in heaven because that is where they belong.With the help and caring they gave everyone they knew,God will surely bless them with Heaven.

I feel a great need to tell everyone that Melissa loves her children, she is being wrongly judged for something she is not responsible for. Judge not, lest ye be judged. Melissa comes from an extremely abusive childhood herself. In turn, she has made poor judgements in the men in her life. She is paying dearly for those choices, but she is and was a good mother, she is a good person. Noone could possibly understand the pain she is feeling at this time. Nothing is more important to her than her children. Having been an abused child herself for 18 years, she wouldn't even allow anyone to spank her children, she punished only with time outs and grounding. Please if you people have any hearts at all, understand that Melissa did the best she could with what she knew, and she will now make wiser choices, due to this horrible loss. Her children are with our Lord, let them rest in peace, they loved their mother......

The twom children that died in the fire in toledo, OH on Jan.21,2009 was my neice & nephew. Destiny & Meroje, they attended Garfield School in East Toledo. Destiny was a very smart, talk-a-tive girl who tudored the 1, 2 & 3rd grades. Meryoje was just a all about little boy and you couldn't help but love him. I'll miss them both dearly, my aching heart is truly broken and so is my sister's. The mother "Vetta" of the teenage girl "Granny" survived the fire with minor injuries and her teenager who jumped out the window "granny" was badly burned but is doing fine and out of all danger just recently found out the the two small children didn't survive. She was devistated. However, she is due to be released on Saturday January 31, 2009. madisynn and shanna were my bestfriends. we always hung out. everybody says that as life goes it will be easier and easier to forget but its actually harder every day. cause you sit there in class with two empty seats and finally realizing there never coming back. you sit and wait everyday to see them one more time. this is seriously the worst thing that has ever happened to me by far. i always want to tell them something funny. there never online on myspace or never at their locker anymore. never at lunch never anywhere. but we all know things happen for a reason.. we just havnt figured that out yet. i live my life for them. wake up everyday and go drag on another day without them. you girls will be misses by so much. and always remember your my bestfirneds. as far as im concerened distance doesnt matter. i want you to girls to come home again so we can have the craziest times ever! i love you to with all my heart. and i really wish this didnt happen rest in peacee girls. iloveyou

The boy who died in this fire was Reese Sarno. He was a beautiful little boy...and My heart is broken. Everyone please tell your loved ones that you love them and hug your children a little tighter tonight...This family..Mother named Tina, Little sister named Brandy, and Handicaped brother James are now homeless and in need of help. I am the cousin of the Grandmother and granddaughter killed in their home by fire in E. Baltimore. It not only hurts to know that we will never see them again but it hurts to know that even when we are in our homes we are not safe. I will miss them and the saddest memory that i will carry for ever is that at her dad's funeral she suggested that we all stop meeting at deaths and have happy gatherings more often than we do, and we never did. I known Shanna's mom since I was a little girl. I couldn't fathom the thought of losing any of my children.The last time I saw Shanna was about 2 years ago. Beautiful little girl. This is such a horrible thing to happen to such a pretty girl. My heart goes out to Shanna and Madisyn's families. Rest in peace girls.

My family had the privilage of knowing Colton and he was an amazing boy with an equally amazing spirit. We are greatly saddened by this loss. We will miss you Colton!

I would differ on this accident being a tragedy waiting to happen due to the number of people in a household. My family was short 3 individuals from this family and we never had a problem. My heart goes out to Jaime and her family this tragedy will change her life once again.

I lived in Webster County and went to school with most of the Ingram's. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy for the family on the loss of Tyrese. Esyha will be in my prayers as will all of the Ingram and Edmonds family. Angie Hudson-Holton

I would die before I would let my kids burn alive. I don't understand she said she was yelling their names and nothing... if they was burning alive they would be screaming! The 1st thing I would have ran to my kids not out the door! I think there is more to this story. I hope the investigation will tell the truth.

Talbot County is like family, even if we don't know one another personally all of our hearts long for the victims and loved ones. All day today in Easton, everyone I looked at had a look of sadness upon them, you just knew that everyone was thinking about the tragic loss of such precious lives.

I don't get why people are saying things about the occupany laws. Some of these people were visiting. A 6400 sq ft house is a large home so who cares how many people were there. If it was a 600 sq ft house and had a lot of people in it then maybe you should start saying things about the occ. laws. I feel sorry for everyone that was involved in this fire. My prayers go out to the family.

I dont think you should judge people or how they live. I am the mothers (Jamies) cousin. The grandparents had a daughter Donette that was shot to death in '93 by her husband. The grandparents raised her 4 children, the other two adults that where in the house at the time...not really adults, just barely out of school. Jamie and her three children lived with her parents in an addtion that was built onto the back of the house for her. They are a very large and loving family. I guess if the grandparents had decided not to raise their murded daughters 4 children, there would have been 2 less people in the house at the time of the fire. Would that have made a difference? 3 beautiful gifts from God were taken from them. Something that Jamie will probably never recover from. We are praying Jamie makes a full recovery from the burns she recieved trying to save her children.

why are there 13 people in this house anyway? its the way they live. thats why. a cancer.

How in the world would the occupancy laws have made a difference? Passing more laws in response to tragedies that are ineffective or completely ignored is the hallmark of one party politics in this state. The only thing that can prevent tragedies like this are: affordable housing, better paying jobs, proper education, and functional fire alarms. Baltimore has been waiting for 60 years for the former three things.

If there isn't a law that limits the number of people who can live in a house, there certainly should be. This was simply a tragedy waiting to happen.
