First, plastic bag should be available that will distintegrate upon entering the landfills. I use them all the time for the disposal of trash or garbage and for the use of picking up after my little dog when we are out walking. The major thing that bothers me with Annapolis Alderman Shropshire is that when he's talking about pollution, he doesn't mention a big pollutant; that pollutant being District Court Judge Gatewood who has dropped more than a ton of polluted debris into the waters down in A.C. County, the waters feeding into the Chesapeake Bay. Mr. Shropshire, when is that judge going to be arrested for his crimes against the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay? Do judges receive special treatment when they commit crimes? Oh! I just realized, he's a democrat and, as a democrat, he can, of course, break any law he wishes. How stupid of me! I apologize. Mea culpa.

why can the makers of plastic bags come up with one the will fall apart when it is placed in a landfill. We use these bags to pick up after the dogs and then put the most natural stuff in the world into a bag that won't break down for hundreds of years. Go figure.
