examiNation DC: What's your take on the pants judge being fired from the D.C. bench?

Bullies seek positions of power, and then they abuse them. Some people seek jobs of authority because they truly care--these are the teachers you tell your grandkids about that changed your life, or the judges who really make a big difference in improving things. Then some people seek jobs of authority because they like being in control. This is where you get those mean teachers and middle school vice-principals and so on who simply revel in their ability to push people around. This judge falls into the latter category and I think he is a disgrace to our justice system. I am glad he is being removed. Being a judge is too important--it requires a quality of character that exceeds the average, not one that dredges the mucky bottom.

Justice has been served. And Ps: He wasn't "merely exercising his belief in Justice." He filed a frivolous lawsuit that wasted tax dollars and court time and forced a family into closing two of their stores over a pair of pants. He abused the system and as a Judge, he violated his duties and ethics of the Bar Association. He doesn't deserve to stay in his position.

No. I dont think he should be removed from the bench. Why remove him when he was merely exercising his belief in Justice. Im only speculating but, how do we know he wasnt testing the justice system's stand on frivilous lawsuits. The only way you know how to deal with something is to go thru it. Remove him from the bench, absolutely not...

The gentleman should consider seeking medical help.

It is his "right" to bring legal action but his actions show poor character and poor JUDGMENT. This man should not be in the business of judging others. He has no interest in using his knowledge for the "good of man", it's simply to wield power.

He was really off the mark by filing the lawsuit. He needs to be fired.
