8:57- Your rant is disjointed, but the last sentence I understand. I have to comment: Our nation survives on oil. If (I don't think he is) but if he's "stealing" their oil, he's not taking it an putting it in his limo, your world ends as you know it without oil.
This war is about oil, not stealing it, but making it available. Ensuring that those countries that have it continue to sell it to us. Even though they hate us and our way of life. Don't you realize yet that most of Islam wants you dead? You are in their way. If they control the flow of oil they control you. If our government didn't fight for the right to buy (at record prices no less) then you would be hiking with your backpack, kids in tow to the nearest commune to farm for rutebagas and dig wells.
How can anyone with an once of sense, think that Bush's sponsers & controlled (paying people with our tax dollars)Iraqi government has any say in what happens in their country? Iraq wants Blackwater to be responsible for and charged for their crimes against their citizens and What does Bush do give them ammunity.
Bush is also stealing their oil by making deals with the western oil companies(which is the real reason for this war)to control their oil.
Sanctions do work. Sanctions reduce the flow of money and arms. If the populace of Iran suffers because of sanctions, then that is the fault of their government and religious leadership who's goal it is to convert or eliminate across the globe. They will take food from their own children to fund their cause-all in the name of Allah. How is that our fault? You think George W is bad...would you rather be ruled by a Muslim fanatic?

If the population of Iran is deprived (not) but if it were....that would be the fault of the government that controls them. The religion-driven, dogmatic government that controls them. Not the responsibility of the US. We cannot continue to sacrifice US interests and security because another government deprives it's people. Lets place accountability where it belongs.
Do it now! Bomb them now! The rest of the world don't like us anyway , so let them whine and squeal all they want.Don't even respond to them.We have to take care of US interest.
Unless the idea is to further deprive the already deprived populations of nations ruled by autocratic governments, sanctions don't necessarily work. The power structure of such countries usually continue to secure what want while the the rest of the population often struggles for basic necessities. I have my doubts sanctions help persuade the average Iranian of America's good intentions.
We should try all the sanctions that we can think of...though they aren't likely to solve the problem, they may help in limiting Iran's capability to begin their plan of blatant anihilation of the Western way of life.
Sanctions will never work. We must take out their ability to make an atom bomb. Its a different world from 1941 when the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor. No nation can allow an atomic first strike. If Iran gets the bomb Israel will no longer exist and God will unleash his full fury on the U.S.A.
Sanctions are a start. They must be tough and stuck to.It is too bad that the people in Iran that could be Americanized are so oppressed that they cannot rebel against the tyrants in Iran. It is a shame that they will have to suffer also.
The Iraq/Afghan war is estimated to cost the U.S. taxpayer $2.4 trillion over the next ten years. It's already cost a trillion dollars in the first 4.5 years.
The Iran war will cost ten times that, not to mention all the other countries that are going to get involved.
Oil will be $500.00 a barrel by this time next year. Of course this will give Shrub the excuse to declare himself the King of the world, declare martial law, disolve the congress and suspend the election.
The only thing sanctions are ever effective at is providing more breathing room for dictators and worthless organizations like the UN. We should pull out of the UN, kick them out of New York and start worrying about what's best for America instead of worrying about who were upsetting by having the audacity to protect our own lives and interests.
