Agree. Pushing is the key word. Let kids play and play and play. As that lady said, let kids be kids. They are not in training for some future lucrative sports contract. They are kids.

Pushing is the key word here. If the kid loves the sport and has developed his own unique passion for that sport, I see no reason why a parent cannot guide their kid in the right direction. Planning college scholarships is a weird way of thinking. Just plan for college by putting money away and let the scholarships fall where they may.
