car hits jaywalking pedestrian

594 days ago - A jaywalking pedestrian was struck by a car Sunday evening, suffering hip and foot injuries and scratches to the face. The accident occurred at about 11:55 p.m. Sunday, when the pedestrian “jumped out” into the street at the diamond-shaped intersection of Mission at Valencia streets, police said. According to police and witness reports, the driver was traveling at the speed limit at the time of impact. Police said the driver was not cited. The pedestrian was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
