2 days ago - DEATH CERTIFICATES: A bill to change how deaths are reported in Pennsylvania was signed into law by Gov. Ed Rendell. The law, which takes effect in 60 days, eliminates a requirement that local registrars transmit death certificates to county boards of election. Instead, the state Department of Health will transmit monthly electronic files containing information on adult resident deaths to the Department of State, which will enter the data into its statewide computerized voter registry so county officials can use it to update their voter rolls.
