Raj Purohit: Bush on Darfur: Do as I say, not as I do
- While the president may not have used this precise line in his remarks to the United Nations General Assembly on Sept. 25, the subtext to his speech clearly made this point. The president’s comments on Darfur included this important, but disappointing, line: “The United Nations must answer this challenge to conscience — and live up to its promise to promptly deploy peacekeeping forces to Darfur.”
