Nationals place Young on DL, to recall Zimmerman
Washington first baseman Dmitri Young was placed on the 15-day disabled list after missing his second straight start Saturday, complaining of having high blood sugar and feeling lightheaded. A dismal first half for the Nationals was filled with far too many losses, both on and off the field.

Nats officials delivered a great stadium, but somebody forgot about a great product. Ryan Zimmerman took batting practice yesterday. Banged one off the left foul pole. Put another in the bleachers. Some decent knocks. When the Nationals came out of spring training I looked at their roster and figured if they stayed healthy they’d win 75-76 games.
D’backs’ All-Star arms hit D.C. tonight
There is one final homestand remaining before the Nationals can finally limp into Major League Baseball’s All-Star break. No team could use that four-day vacation more.
