I read with interest the July 7 article, “Baltimore-area libraries adapt and thrive, despite economy.” The article is correct in noting that library systems need to actively work to maintain and enhance their relevance within the neighborhoods they serve. I believe, with the advent of the Internet and electronic books, libraries need to find ways to continue to remain “first choice destinations” for their communities.
