Maryland unemployment holds at 4 percent
Unemployment statewide remained at 4 percent in June from the month before, but increased slightly from 3.6 percent in June 2007, according to data released Friday by the federal Department of Labor. The rate was up from 3.6 in April but matched May’s figure. A total of 121,700 people were unemployed, up from 119,900 in May.
