 Reaction to killings reinforces Federal Hill’s sense of communityAt Christ Lutheran Church on Monday evening, Pastor Duke Fries, several South Baltimore police, a couple of city councilmen and a state legislator all did their best to stress what everyone in Federal Hill wished fervently to hear. These killings in our neighborhood were an aberration. Your families are safe. Now, will everyone please remind yourselves that this is the city of Baltimore, and yet it is not. |
