Dolphins open camp again looking for QB
During this era of perennial instability for the Miami Dolphins, there's been one constant: questions at quarterback.
Taylor has new number to go along with new team
Jason Taylor entered the locker room Tuesday morning ready to suit up for his first practice of training camp, just like he'd done before each of his past 11 NFL seasons. The beloved end stood on crutches in the lobby, surrounded by cameras and notepads, recounting a day of tears. Hours later, the prized acquisition, looking dapper in a dark suit and tie, entered the packed auditorium to applause. Jason Taylor has put his Hollywood offseason behind him now that he's a member of the Washington Redskins.
Daniels reflects on his injury, uncertain future
Phillip Daniels walked into Redskins Park on crutches Monday afternoon, one day after suffering a knee injury that ended his season barely an hour into training camp.
Dolphins trade Taylor to Redskins
The trade Jason Taylor and the Miami Dolphins sought for months came together quickly once the Washington Redskins suddenly found themselves needing a defensive end. Jim Zorn’s first training camp practice started with horrible news: Phillip Daniels tore his ACL 75 minutes in and was out for the season. It ended with a stunner: the Redskins had traded for Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor. Redskins owner Dan Snyder doesn’t mess around in a crisis. Hours after losing two defensive ends Sunday on the opening of training camp, Snyder traded for disgruntled Miami star Jason Taylor. He didn’t even greatly overpay.
Redskins DE Daniels to miss season
What a way to open training camp: Washington Redskins defensive end Phillip Daniels tore a left knee ligament Sunday during the very first practice and will miss the season. |
