Time to fix these broken streets
The condition of San Francisco’s street surfaces endangers bicyclists every day. (“Broken streets,” June 25). Slamming into potholes or swerving to avoid trenches isn’t just inconvenient and uncomfortable, it’s dangerous to anyone on the streets. I use my bike as often as I can to travel from my North of Panhandle home, and the rides often resemble a pitted obstacle course. Sharing the road with others is much more difficult when I have to make quick moves to avoid potholes. |
