Following two days of rookie practices, the Ravens will have their nearly the entire roster on the field for the first time today. As the Ravens line up today at McDaniel College for the first, full-squad workout of their 13th training camp, the team is shadowed by a laundry list of questions as it prepares for a season all about transition.
Trio of Ravens QB begin friendly competition
All three Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks seem to genuinely like each other, which makes for a rather friendly competition in their bid to claim the starting job. The Ravens have $30 million reasons to believe in their first-round draft pick. The Ravens designed the first two days of training camp to acclimate quarterbacks and rookies before the veterans arrive on Wednesday. But the practices also offered players who ended last season on injured reserve the chance to get a jump-start on proving they have returned to full heath. A year ago, Tom Zbikowski was getting ready for Notre Dame’s preseason workouts as a fifth-year senior captain assured to start at strong safety. John Harbaugh tapped his feet, as he was antsy to begin his first training camp as head coach in the National Football League. But when he steps on to the field at McDaniel College in Westminster this morning, he’ll view it in the same manner as the previous 24 he’s worked as an assistant coach.
Flacco the center of attention at Ravens camp
Rookies, quarterbacks and injured veterans reported to Baltimore Ravens training camp on Monday, though first-round draft pick Joe Flacco remained the center of attention.
