Mosley sues German newspaper for damages
Motor racing boss Max Mosley has sued the publisher of Germany's largest newspaper, contending that his sex play with several prostitutes did not have a Nazi theme. Cramped into makeshift wooden huts on the grounds of a swank Victorian mansion, Britain's sharpest mathematical minds waged a secret war against Nazi Germany - cracking Adolf Hitler's supposedly unbreakable codes. After the sting of scandal, Max Mosley can feel the balm of victory. A British judge ruled Thursday that a tabloid newspaper breached the motorsport chief's privacy with a story claiming that a sadomasochistic orgy he took part in had a Nazi theme. The News of the World faces a legal bill of almost 1 million pounds ($2 million) after the judge ordered it to pay damages and Mosley's legal costs, as well as it2s own.

3 suspected in Austria swastika graffiti
Police say three people are suspected of spraying swastikas and Nazi slogans on buildings and road signs in southern Austria. Major League Baseball’s all-stars now head for the Bronx and the doomed Yankee Stadium, condemned to the wrecking ball for being insufficiently profitable and insufficiently youthful. Former Republican Sen. Phil Gramm isn't the first friend to give a presidential candidate heartburn. And based on recent history, another one will be along before John McCain or Barack Obama know it. Madame Tussauds will repair the wax figure of Adolf Hitler that a visitor beheaded at its new Berlin branch and return it to the museum "as quickly as possible." |
