Brawl at Lafayette church community center injures five
- Three people were cut by knives when a brawl broke out during a church community center's open gym session, police said.The fight at Faith Community Center started Monday night on a basketball court and spilled into a lobby, where about 20 people fought and some furniture was thrown, according to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department. - A new Indianapolis Zoo exhibit will feature two male koalas named Bamba and Coombah.The Queensland koalas on loan from the San Diego Zoo are scheduled to be on display in Indianapolis from Memorial Day weekend through Sept. 1. - The number of fatal farm accidents in Indiana tripled last year following six years of decline, according to a new report.Farm-related accidents killed 24 people in 2007, while eight such deaths happened in 2006. It was the deadliest year on Indiana farms since 2000, when 27 people died in farming accidents, said the report from Purdue University's agricultural safety and health program, which has been tracking farm fatalities across the state since 1970.
