Atlanta police say they have arrested 11 suspects in the theft of blue jeans from high-end clothing boutiques and have recovered $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise.Police Sgt. Lisa Keyes says officers were tipped Friday to suspicious activity at a house and arrived to find the suspects removing tags from shirts and hundreds of jeans.

Police say a 21-year-old soldier from Hunter Army Airfield was found dead on Savannah's Hutchinson Island, not long before his 1-year-old child was discovered unharmed in an abandoned car seat several miles away.Police realized that 21-year-old Necco McCrawl's car and child were missing quickly after his body was found about 3:30 p.m. Thursday on a dirt road on the Savannah River island. Almost as soon as the search began, the child was found sitting in the car seat in Garden City and turned over to the mother.

The Reds activated third baseman Edwin Encarnacion from the 60-day disabled list Friday to replace infielder Danny Richar, who went on the 15-day disabled list with a torn labrum in his left shoulder.Wilkin Castillo, who had surgery Wednesday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, was moved from the 15-day DL to the 60-day to make room for Encarnacion on the 40-man roster.
