A Sacaton man convicted in the vehicular homicide of a bicyclist on the Gila River Indian Reservation has been sentenced to 27 years in prison.Prosecutors say 44-year-old Webster Norris III was found guilty by a federal jury of second-degree murder and aggravated assault in June and was sentenced Thursday.

A task force appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer is suggesting that Arizonans pay a $15 surcharge on annual registration on noncommercial vehicle registrations to providing funding for the financially struggling state parks system.Under the proposal, vehicles with Arizona plates would receive free admission for day use of state parks, but not special services such as boat launching, camping or Kartchner Caverns tours.
