Joe Webb threw four touchdowns and rushed for two scores to lead Alabama-Birmingham to a 56-29 rout over Florida Atlantic on Saturday.Webb was 14-for-19 passing for 292 yards for the Blazers (4-5), while the quarterback also ran for 120 yards on 15 carries. He scored on runs of 36, 22, 24 and 17 yards. He also had rushing scores of 65 and 2 yards.
AUBURNTodd leads Auburn past Furman 63-31
Chris Todd threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns, completing his first 14 passes, as Auburn cruised to an easy 63-31 win over Furman on Saturday.Todd threw three touchdown passes to Darvin Adams for the Tigers (7-3), who scored on six of their first seven possessions to jump out to a 42-3 halftime lead. Todd's other scoring pass went to Mario Fannin, who finished with 60 yards rushing.

BIRMINGHAMCourt rules Tyson Foods to pay $250K in labor suit
A federal court has ruled that Tyson Foods Inc. violated federal labor standards for not paying production line employees for the time it takes them to put on and remove protective and sanitary gear.The company was ordered to pay $250,000 in damages, according to the ruling Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. The U.S. Department of Labor, which originally filed the suit seeking $5.8 million in back wages, made the announcement Thursday.
