790 days ago - The owners of 18 acres in one of Fairfax County’s most heavily developed areas want to dump two planned office buildings for a mix of shops and apartments. The development on Towers Crescent Drive, near the corner of the Beltway and Leesburg Pike in Tysons Corner, are seeking to put as many as 919 new dwellings and a cluster of retail where plans once called for the new office buildings, according to county documents. Three office buildings already exist on the site, and construction could get under way on another this fall. Fairfax County Supervisors plan to vote on the rezoning request on Oct. 15.
