Clarification: Substance Abuse-Tobacco story
- In a July 22 story, The Associated Press described a tobacco ban going into effect at New York state treatment facilities for drug addicts, gamblers and alcoholics. An early version of the story quoted a state agency spokeswoman saying that addiction patients won't even be able to give rides to smokers. The story should have specified the ban applies to vehicles belonging to treatment facilities, which cannot be used to transport people who are smoking.
