14th Street Bridge worries are premature

That’s because out of 43 options for reducing congestion at the bridge, there are some that involve tolls of one sort or another. Nothing gets our attention faster than that little four-letter word: toll. Expect to see the word toll attached to just about every new project that is proposed from here on out. There is just no way around tolls anymore, as state and local authorities struggle to fund maintenance and new construction out of existing funds.
