City Hall: Historic Children’s Playground reopens
Staff reports, The Examiner Jun 27, 2007 3:00 AM (913 days ago)SAN FRANCISCO A historic playground in the southeast corner of Golden Gate Park that has been closed for more than a year will reopen in July following $3.8 million in renovation work. Built in 1887, the Children’s Playground is commonly thought to be the nation’s first public playground, according to Recreation and Park officials.
