School’s request for vandalism repairs slips through the cracks

Where a retaining wall and steps with a railing had been constructed for safety purposes, somebody had set a fire that melted away the railing, damaged the wall, and left glass and rubble all over the place. The kids couldn’t believe the sheer mindlessness of the destruction.
