Dean of RIT institute for deaf weighs in on Gallaudet

Alan Hurwitz is the CEO and dean of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the Rochester Institute of Technology and a former president of the National Association of the Deaf. The son of deaf parents, Hurwitz grew up in a house that emphasized literacy, learning and the value of work.
